I think there are no roads through the woods because it's not a really popular town. On page 1 of chapter 1 it says the road was trodded away by cows and the town didn't have anything important besides a jailhouse and gallows. I just don't think the road was important enough to pave.
I agree with MG Soccer Fan. It wasn't a very popular. Also, the author discribed the woods as a scary place. Maybe they are too scared to put a road through it. In addition to this, it is on privite property.
I agree with MG and THE BEAST. It is not a popular town at all. The woods could also be enchanted because who knows if the only magical thing in the woods is the spring? i wonder if there is going to be another type of mystical adventure in this book!? :)
I think the Tuck family tore down the road after they found out about the spring. I think they did this because the spring was to valuable and powerful for there to be a road saying there must be something on this road. The strange visitor that Winnie met could of tore the road off to?
I think there are no roads though the woods because the cows already made one and the woods are on private property owned by Winnie's family. The book also says people did not go in very often and the town already had a road around the woods and the town didnt have anything really important just a jailhouse ang the gallows
I agree with JF2. I think the road was created by humans but tooken down by Tuck because he wanted to protect the valuable spring he discovered. The road was also ruined by cows and the forest was not an important site to explore.
I think that there are no oads through the woods because they do not want more people to come through/settle there. they might not want any more people in their small community. They probably also do not want more and more people to always be passing through.
I believe that there are no roads because the Tucks want to keep themselves unknown. The tucks have been living for a long time and maybe people will recognize them and wonder why they are still alive. Winnie's grandmother also might not enjoy visitors.

ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone who said that the Tucks took out the road.
ReplyDeleteI also think the Tucks might have removed the road so no one found the spring.
