I think the author is right to make that his ending. That was kind of the answer to the conflict of the story. Bala had killeed the snake and he was upset about it.
ReplyDeleteI agree Matt. it was the answer to the conflict of the story. Bala feels really bad now that he killed the last great snake. He might even be feeling worse nose now after he killed the snake than he did when he was living without honor. Now that he killed Ulukini there is no more great snakes and no more beautiful skales gleaming in the light. This author wrote a great book with an even better ending.
ReplyDeleteP.S. There is only 1 e in killed (killeed)
Bala feels confused about killing the last great snake he doesn't know if it was the right or wrong thing to do. I believe that the ending should not have been like this I believe that it should have been that Bala was happy and lived a good life with his wife and children.
ReplyDeleteI think the author has experienced the same situation that has happened to Bala. I would feel horrible if I destroyed or lost the last of something. Although Bala was tricked by evil Medana, he chose to carry on his hunt instead of ignoring him. He became sick of being a man without honor for so many days that he decided he had to do something about it. Besides, who would want to live in a small, lonely house of bones with strange homeless people nearby?
ReplyDeleteHe was blinded by his dishonor and became desperate to slay great Ulikini only to replace Gatani's lost stone.
ReplyDeleteBala thought that the snake was breath taking. He was sad that, even though he regained his honor, it wasn't worth killing a beautiful creature.
ReplyDeleteIt ended like that because it kept you wondering whether he did the right thing. Also, it happened because Medana triked him.
ReplyDeletemy name is sawyer
ReplyDeleteHe killed the snake to get his honor back
ReplyDeleteBecause Bala isnt certain what he did was the right thing.
ReplyDeleteHe is scared
ReplyDeleteDishonor sent him into exile. Bala did not want Getani to take his place, so he does what is right.
