  1. lindsey, that sounds like a book that is right up my alley. i would definitely not mind reading lock and Key, and might just do so sometime. if its the type of book that will draw the reader in, i'm all for it.

  2. Kiana, I am proud that you are reading one of my favorite series. I can tell that you were addicted to that book as much as I was. I remember finishing the book in only a week! Once you finish The Lightning Thief, you can read the next adventurous story called The Sea of Monsters, and then The Titan's Curse. I can't wait to see the new movie that comes out just before my birthday!

  3. Riley and Kiana, Percy Jackson the Lightning thief does sound like a great book to read. Could one of you tell me what it's about in a little more detail? I think it would be a book I would be interested in reading.

  4. Today, In my book "Travel Team" Danny (the main character) was feeling really embarrassed because of everyone ragging on him because he didn't make the Travel Team that his NBA dad won a championship with when he was a kid. I don't blame him though I would be really embarrassed too.

P.S. today I could also make another great text to world connection: Today Danny's mom told him his backpack weighed more than him. That's exactly what my mom says!

  6. Justin, "Travel Team" reminds me of Patrick's children's book! I think that's a coincidence. I always liked emotional books with happy endings. Do you know if their is a football story with the same concept as your book? Is their anymore books written by him that I can read?
