A Likely Place

Why does Lewis need Mr. Madruga's he;p to find a "likely place" for himself?

  1. I don't think that Lewis needs Mr. Madruga's help to find a likely place, but Mr.Madruga just offered so Lewis went along with it. Lewis probably feels like Mr. Madruga is his only friend.

  2. Lewis needs Mr. Madruga's help to find a "likely place" because he doesn't know he was capable of it so he asked for assistance. He is smarter than he thinks he is. In the book, Lewis enjoys finding caves but he can't seem to find the perfect one.

  3. I agree with Lindseyyy c:. She makes a good point. He could have found the cave, but maybe not as good of a cave.

  4. I think he needed to fit in with an adult because at the beginning he says that is his hardest goal. When he finally does he feels better and can relax without thinking he needs to do something.

  5. I agree with Hamel and lindsey. Lewis feels that Mr. Madruga is his only friend. on pg. 65, middle, Lewis couldn't find a cave. mr. Madruga helped him.

  6. Lewis needed Mr. Madruga's help to find a likely place because they were both friends who helped each other and compared to each other. Lewis needed someone like him to bring himself out of his shell.
I also agree with Lindsey though, he could have found a cave by himself if he looked harder and wasn't afraid to come out of his shell.

  7. I think Lewis needed Mr. Madrugas help because Mr.Madruga did not critize Lewis like other adults but instead befriended him, I agree with Justin

  8. I also agree with Lindsey. Mr. Madruga is the only nice and mature friend Lewis has. Lewis feels more comfortable looking for a cave with Mr. Madruga.
