  1. I just finished reading the Cirque Du Freak series. It was one of the best series I've ever read and I would recommend it to anyone. It is about a boy, Darren Shan who, after sneaking away with his friend to watch a freak show, becomes a vampire and lives among them during a troubling time in which they are fighting their blood relitives the vampaneeze. Him, his mentor, Mr.Crepsly, and a few others go down the road of life as it's moved and shaken by a Mr.Tiny. I have to admit though some parts are confusing this was the most thrillig series I've read.

  2. I just started a new book today called Steel Trapp (the challenge). So far I know that the book is about a kid named Steel, and he supposedly found a breif case on the side of a train that had pictures of people disappearing and getting their mouths tied with ropes. Steel then saw the lady in the picture that was inside the breif case in the crowd of his science fair. I am wondering what will happen next. This book has gotten a little creepy, but I think it will turn into a nice book.

P.S. I am not yet sure, but this book might be the second book in a series because in some parts it talks about stuff they think I should already know.

  3. i am reading the diary of anne frank. I am almost finished with it, and it is getting pretty interesting. I would recommend that girls read it because it talks about...girl stuff and romance. In case you don't yet know, this book is about two jewish families during WWII. Anne, the youngest at 13-15 yrs. old, writes a diary about how she feels during this time. right now in the book anne and peter are becoming BF and GF. I like this book so far, but I look forward to reading something more adventurous.

  5. For my independent reading i have just read the book about pat tillman that patrick read for his biography project. After reading this book i have realized that Pat Tillman is indeed, a very brave man. I am not sure if I would recomend it because it has way too many quotes from people about him. The book also confuses me because it skips from many different parts in his life. It starts at the part when he died then it goes to highschool then skips to his decicion to join the army then the his career with the cardinals ETC. But it is an extremely inspiring story.

  6. I just finished reading a biography on John F. Kennedy. It was so interesting to read about such a cool person. At first I thought that it would be boring, but he was such an amazing person. Did you no that he almost died many times as a child and that he grew up living in the shadow of his older brother and that he was even a war hero who received the Navy and Marine Corps Medal and the Purple Heart. The most interesting thing that I learned about him was that his death (he was shot and killed in an open top car in Dallas) could have been avoided in many ways. First he could have had a protective bubble over the open part of the car but he chose not to put it on because he wanted the people of Dallas to trust him and feel that he trusted them. Second, J.F.K. had a back brace on that horrible day. He was shot twice. Had he not had the brace on he would of fell down after the first shot in the neck and avoided the fatal shot to the head.

P.s. Isn't Pat Tillman amazing too, Sawyer

I would recommend this book anyone although the cover is girly it is a great book for anyone any age. I would recommend this book to anyone because it is about a girl who's mother goes somewhere without her daughter ,Ruby. and Ruby ends up having to live with her sister and her sister's husband and dog. It is a great book although it is very long. And I love the author.

  8. Hello everyone! I am reading a sports book called Winning State Football by Steve Knight. This is a player's guide to competitive confidence. It teaches you how to unleash your inner "Big-Dog" and become mentally focused from Nutrition to the Seven Game Posts. The book also provides graphs and pictures to summarize what they explained. I have read halfway through this book and it is outstanding! I would recommend this book to sports lovers and athletic people. It will help to program your mind to win an intense game. It really helps, you guys! Please read Winning State Football and become physically and mentally rested for the battle yet to come!

  9. Hmmm... now I am thinking about reading the cirque du Freak series or steel Trapp or the Percy jackson Series. I really badly want to read all of them, so i guess i'll make a list or something like that. For now i'll tallk about the end of the Diary of anne Frank. I just finished this book, and i had read the part when Anne and her family had been sent to a concentration camp. it was HORRIFIC!!! It was still a very good book, though.

  10. Well, instead of reading Steel Trapp I decided to read Travel Team because of how well it relates to me. Travel Team is a book about a small kid who loves to play basketball. He practices all the time but is limited to what he can do because of his size. Danny (the little kid) hates when people mis-take him for a 8 or 9 year old when he is actually 11 years old (exactly how old I am right now). Anyway he hates when people call him a younger age but by now is used to it. I am the exact same way! I think this book is a very good fit for me, and I think I will really enjoy it!

  12. I have just began the book Snake head. I read to page 80 last year then gave it up. I am going to start reading it again. First I am going to have to read the last few pages of the book before it in the series because this book is number 7 in the series and I forgot how that last book ended. Maybe Matt could remind me how it ended...please!!! I hope I can get back into the groove of this series. If not I have a great back up book.

  16. Kiana, if you were to read any of those awesome sounding books, choose the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. It is an irresistable book that combines mythology with intense action. I have personally read the whole series and it is FANTASTIC! Percy Jackson is a special-needs child who finds his upcoming journey mysterious and magical. They are also making a movie about it too that comes out pretty soon. I recommend to read the series first before the movie because I know it will be so much better. I guarantee you will have fun with this outstanding book.

  25. Patrick, It really does sound like you enjoyed reading that book about John F. Kennedy. He is really interesting. I can't believe that guy shot him (twice) when he was trying to show trust in his nation. Why would someone ever do that?

  26. I am reading Lock and Key by Sara Dessen still. It's really long, but it is a good book. Something that was unexpected was Ruby trying to escape from her sister's house. I will probably read more books by the author when I am finished with this one. I would definitely recommend this book to someone else. Actually to anyone. It is a book that anyone can enjoy.
