Thinking more about Morris........

Do you think most successful people are dreamers or realists?  Explain your answer.

  1. I think most successeful people are realist. I think this because most of the time dreamers end up without a job. Even though some dreamers become successful people most would likly be smart realist. One thing in the story I found was weird was that Morris calls people who want to be farmers dreamers but he's not a dreamer when he wants to be a comic strip artist.

  2. I Think that most successful people are both dreamists and realists. If a person wants to be succsesful, thay have to be able to come up with amazing ideas for a job that fits them. but also, a successful person has to be a realist because they can't want to be a pro hackey player and they dont even know how. they have to keep their heads out of the clouds and into reality, but they can't be boring and a;ways safe, or they won't get anywhere

  3. I think most successful people have once been dreamers but rarely any have gone through with that and have eventually grown out of it and became realists. think this because not many people probably said to themselves "Hmm.. i want to be an astronaut." and it stuck with them through their whole lives. I know that so far I have wanted to be about 20 different things in my life, and acting is the only one that really stuck. I'm not saying that nobody has done it, I'm just saying that it is kind- of unlikely to know what you are going to do for the rest of your life since you were like 5. what do you guys think??? :0

  4. Even though morris thinks dreamers wont be succesfull, he is a dreamer himself. He thinks that he will be the comic strip artist for a large magazine, when really he should know that he is not their permanent comic strip artist. he dreams about being a comic strip artist.

  5. I do agree with confused goofball but what if somebody wants to be a firefighter, and end up being one, they had to dream to become succesful. That is how confused goofball would become an actor. by dreaming of it at a young age, and sticking with it your whole life.

  6. I agree with SkateMoreSon, that successful people can be both realists and dreamers. I think this because dreamers could actually end up with their dream job if they study hard or maybe work out or practice acting more, and realists are being realistic so they will most likely get their ideal job.

Well, SkateMoreSon has a point. I think i did mention that it can happen. I just dont think it very likely. Well, I guess it depends what you want to be! :)

  8. Don't you all think that dreaming is what makes things happen? If we didn't have dreams..........
Perhaps giving up the dream was the end of the dream?

  9. I think most sucessful people are realists because kids that want to be astronauts for example most likly wont because you need a colledge degree and all that stuff and some kids dont go to colledge or dont get a high enough degree and that leaves the rest forgeting that dream or acually becoming what they wanted to in the first place . Morris thought he had a realistic dream like all dreamers. He thought he would always be a comic strip artist only a few people did that like Bill Watterson who made Calvin and Hobbes.

  11. I definitely agree with Ms.Adams I mean without dreams what would we be when we grow up, where would we work and all of that kind of stuff.

  12. I think most successful people are dreamers because they imagine different ideas that no one has already come up with therefore creating a new product, service, etc.

  13. in my opinion most successful people are dreamers, because if you can dream it you can do it, at first stage all you need is perseverance!!
